POSITION DESCRIPTION:  To assist the Credit Manager with receivables from advertising accounts according to company guidelines to maximize sales with manageable risk.

  • Responsible for Credit Department operation in the absence of the Credit Manager.
    Process manual credit cards and balance all credit card payments.
    Maintain Virtual Credit Card information.
    Primary responsibility for all credit card and document security.
    Process remittance advices received through the mail including lockbox processing.
    Process parking payments.
    Process auto-pays
    Process credit applications.
    Set up Retail accounts.
    Process, enter, and balance all adjustments for management approval.
    Manage Finance Charges.
    Manage unapplied items.
    Manage NSF checks.
    Manage disputed credit cards.
    Manage cash logs.
    Process all refunds for management approval.
    Provide customer service both in-person and by phone.
    Responsible for Credit Dept. reporting.
    Manage assignments and payments to collection agencies.
    Release and deny line ads.
    Release and deny display ads.
    Reconcile accounts.
    Process all documentation within the department.
    Balance front-counter register.
    Provide Credit References.
    Complete month end balance sheet reconciliations
    Perform other duties as requested by management

Requirements, minimum education level, and experience:

  • High School Degree with some college courses preferred.
    Minimum two years’ experience in accounts receivable with some supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Full understanding of software programs including Brainworks, Ad Perks, MS Office, Forte, Cybersource, and Merchant Solutions.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Analytic abilities, excel

Physical Requirement, Work Environment and Travel:

  • Close eye work, continuous sitting, constant walking, standing, light to moderate lifting 20-30 pounds (per safety policy).
    Must be able to use keyboard and read computer screen.
    Must be able to handle a wide variety of potentially adversarial confrontations.
