POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Digital Media Sales Representative is responsible for developing relationships and consulting with local retail clients, while providing an opportunity to contribute to the long-term success of a high growth and progressive company. The business-to-business sales representatives are responsible for selling a value-based online advertising solution for local retail clients. This enthusiastic and driven sales representative will focus on growth of existing accounts and prospect for new opportunities, speak with decision makers, analyze their needs, and effectively deliver value-added solutions.
- Develop and aggressively grow sales through prospecting, cold calls and relationship development.
Cold-call key decision makers and negotiate rates in defined territory.
Work with legacy retail sales team to strategize on client opportunities.
Meet revenue and account retention goals.
Ensure both customers and prospects have a detailed understanding of aikenstandard.com products through a consultative and strategic selling approach.
Ensure current customer satisfaction by responding quickly and accurately to problems, concerns or needs.
Ensure thorough knowledge of the various Aiken Communications digital products.
Maintain strong ongoing knowledge of the automotive landscape and industry as well as local market dynamics.
Maintain a high level of customer service through training and customer support.
Develop relationships with small business groups. Leverage these relationships to maximize revenue opportunities.
Proactively market the company to customers and convey the advantages of our services.
As appropriate, manage and monitor all contracts, as well as accounts receivables.
Utilize CRM platforms such as Sugar and other tools to record, track and plan client activity.
Collaborate with team members, managers and cross-functional departments and participate in team or cross team initiatives and projects.
Requirements, minimum education level, and experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in business or media discipline is preferred.
Passion for strategic innovation and exponential revenue growth in interactive media.
Working knowledge automotive marketplace.
Excellent verbal, written and visual communications skills, presentation skills and interpersonal communications abilities.
Conversational knowledge of prevailing interactive tools and technologies, including: inventory syndication and management, HTML, CSS, Flash, web servers, mobile sites and apps, content management systems, databases, development languages and frameworks, advertising inventory and delivery systems, search optimization and search marketing, business reputation management, web metrics and analytics.
