Consumer Marketing Specialist

The Post and Courier is seeking a Consumer Marketing specialist to join our growing Marketing team. In this role, you will drive new revenue for by promoting consumer products such as posters, experience cards, and products featured on The Post and Courier online store. Qualified candidates will manage Oh Snap! Promotions, a new division of The Post and Courier, by offering promotional products, advertising specialties, branded merchandising and corporate marketing / identity programs.


  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and programs to promote assigned consumer products such as posters, experience cards, and products featured on The Post and Courier online store
    Develops new product roadmap and leads cross-functional team in execution
    Develop marketing strategy to promote consumer products to meet demand and maximize profits
    Work closely with other departments to ensure promotion, web development and distribution is customer focused, efficient and profitable
    Capitalize unique sales opportunities for products through partnerships, in-store merchandising, etc.
    Analyze sales information and data to project trends and understand customer profiles
    Work with sales teams and own clients by selling promotional products, advertising specialties and branded merchandise
    Achieve sales goals by prospecting both businesses and working with sales teams..
    Provide quotes, samples, order entry, and technical support as needed
    Work with suppliers and customers through the ordering and proofing process to ensure deadlines are met
    Work with suppliers to identify and source promotional products.
    Maintain a strong knowledge of supplier offerings, benefits, promotions, pricing structures

Requirements and Experience:

  • BS/BA in marketing, communications or related field, or equivalent work experience
    3+ years experience in sales and/or marketing preferably in online sales or promotional product.
    Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a collaborative, team based environment
    Has incredible attention to detail and is capable of multi-tasking and coordinating several projects at once
    Prioritize, manage time and meet deadlines
    Excellent planning and organizational skills
    Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
    Effective interpersonal and communication skills
    Excellent presentation skills, interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills also required.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
    Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new technology
    Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
