Internal Sales Specialist (Dermatology)

The Internal Sales Specialist manages and develops a specific geographic territory while promoting the EPIHealth portfolio to designated providers. This internal role is responsible for developing and maintaining key business relationships within targeted dermatologists, podiatrists, and other high prescribing physicians and Health Care providers while optimizing resources and maximizing sales. The internal Sales specialist must closely adhere to provided sales script(s)and guidelines to ensure message consistency, compliance, and call list success.


  • Achieve and/or exceed monthly tele-sales call expectations and sales goals.
    Closely adhere to core portfolio messaging and scripted sales dialogue to ensure consistency and compliance.
    Identify key influencers and achieve designated call expectations with a focus on top target customers.
    Deliver product presentations to customers in assigned call list, outlining the products, features, benefits and services.
    Understand and address both business and scientific oriented needs of healthcare professionals by engaging in meaningful dialogue to determine underlying patient needs and determine how our products could address such needs.
    Assist in the execution of marketing plans as required.
    Develop quarterly business plans.
    Perform other related duties as assigned.
    Accurately and punctually manage all administrative aspects of position, including records, monthly reports, expense reports, technology and management requests.
    Strict adherence to both PhRMA and EPI Health guidelines
    Representatives must store, distribute, and manage pharmaceutical samples in accordance with EPIHealth, PDMA, and FDA guidelines
    Establish an effective course of action in managing one’s call list (territory), planning proper allocation of time and resources. Prioritizing customer requests, programs and projects.

Requirements, minimum education level, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
    Pharmaceutical and/or medical sales experience preferred
    Minimum of 1 years of telemarketing, retail, or outside sales experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to present scripted dialogue with provider and staff
    Ability to complete required daily call quota and produce results
    Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize
    Strong technical and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    Excellent interpersonal skills including speaking, listening, writing, facilitation
    Team player
    Strong work ethic, highly motivated, well organized

Physical Requirements, Work Environment and Travel:

Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision & depth perception

Ability to perform moderate lifting, 15-30 pounds (per safety policy)

The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Outside travel not required at this time.
